What is G-Cloud?
Made possible by the Crown Commercial Service (CCS), the G-Cloud government framework means that institutions and organisations in the UK are able to make cost-efficient savings when purchasing IT and communications equipment and services.
G-Cloud is a government framework that can be used by any organisation across the UK public sector, including a wide range of institutions that we provide for, such as: healthcare, education, local and central government, emergency services, housing and not-for-profit organisations. The framework can be used by all public sector organisations, its goal is to create a unified and central purchasing process.
The G-Cloud RM1557vii framework is fully EU compliant and provides easy access to Cloud Services, saving your organisation time and money. Using this framework agreement will help CCS deliver savings for the public sector and the taxpayer by aggregating spend to drive best value. In addition to these savings, all services and products purchased through the G-Cloud 7 government framework can be guaranteed to meet the quality requirements set by the initiative.

What services do LIMA offer through the G-Cloud 7 framework?
The G-Cloud framework allows you to choose and purchase cloud services covering infrastructure, software and specialist cloud services. LIMA offers commodity based, pay-as-you go cloud services across the following lots
Lot 1: Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) – Infrastructure is the physical hardware that software sits on. This will contain networks, hosting facilities and servers. Read more about IaaS.
Lot 3: Software as a Service (SaaS) – SaaS is running an application or specific service either in the cloud or over the internet. The different types of SaaS could include: CRM tools, web-based email and analytics tools. Read more about SaaS.
Lot 4: Specialist Cloud Services (SCS) – This supports your transition to SaaS and IaaS. SCS can take the form of cloud strategy, data transfer and certain cloud-based support services. Read more about SCS.
