Microsoft’s Extended support for Windows Server 2003 has now ended, which means no security or Windows updates will be released.
How is this going to affect me?
Support from Microsoft ended on Tuesday 14th July 2015, and it will affect everyone running 2003 in their datacentres. Issues you may face going forward include having no access to patches or updates that may be required for migration, and you may also face future vulnerabilities that, without the ability to be patched, may negatively affect your systems. On top of this, our technical support team here at LIMA will only be able to provide assistance independent of Microsoft, meaning we’ll still be here for you, but only on best endeavours.
That doesn’t sound ideal – what can I do? Can LIMA help?
If you are running MS Windows Server 2003, it is advisable that you migrate your systems to new servers, and that can be done with the help of our team here at LIMA, who’ll help to plan, procure, advise, implement and support your new server.
Give us a call on 0345 345 1110 to speak to us about migrating. Alternatively, email us with any queries and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
