As a Microsoft Solutions Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for the deployment of Microsoft infrastructure technologies as part of a client’s solution engagement in accordance with LIMA’s Microsoft Solution Deployment Methodology.

This role requires in depth knowledge, proven experience and migration expertise for Microsoft Exchange, Office 365, Azure, Skype for Business, SQL and Active Directory technologies. 

This role forms part of the technical solutions delivery team which strives to maintain start to finish excellence and integrity of the solution.  You will be part of a fast growing solutions team striving to deliver high quality and innovative solutions with outstanding customer experience.

A Microsoft Solutions Infrastructure Engineer has in depth skills and experience within the area of specialisation and with strong passion and will to progress and develop his/her skills and experience.  


About you

  • Minimum of 1-2 years proven experience in deployment and migration of the following Microsoft solutions:
    • High availability Microsoft Exchange 2010, 2013 and 2016 solutions including CAS arrays, Multi-Role, DAGs and load balancers (Kemp, NetScaler)
    • Email services to Office 365 platform including on premise integration
    • Active Directory Domain Services
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of on-premise and cloud email routing and security
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Exclaimer email disclaimer products
  •  Proven experience in configuring email protocols and mobile access / Active sync
  • In-depth knowledge and detailed understanding of Microsoft Server operating systems (2003-2016)
  • Strong Active directory multi-site domain deployment and migration
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of Active Directory group policy configuration
  • Good knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Infrastructure services including DNS, DHCP, ADFS
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
  • Excellent customer facing and presentation skills
  • Strong experience of working within the Prince2 framework as part of project delivery
  • Experience of working in an ITIL based technical environment
  • Ability to appropriately escalate technical problems and issues
  • The ability to work in a dynamic environment with the capability to meet strict deadlines

About the role

  • Maintain up to date in-depth knowledge and skills of technologies and products in the area of specialisation

  • Work closely and proactively with Technical Solution Architects and Project Managers on assigned client engagements to deliver client solutions

  • Maintain a high level of quality, Integrity and excellence throughout the client’s solution engagement

  • Produce high quality Low Level Design (LLD) and configuration documentation as part of a solutions’ deployment within agreed timescales

  • Ability to deploy Solution Proof of Concepts (POC)

  • Handover of deployed solutions to LIMA Networks support team

  • Responsibility of the assigned technical solution deployment adhering to LIMA’s Microsoft Infrastructure Deployment Methodology

  • Responsibility for providing regular and timely updates to the assigned Project Manager as per LIMA’s Solution Deployment Methodology

  • Provide technical assistance of escalated complex support cases

  • Assist the Project Management Office with the creation of Scope of Works (SOW) and Project Plans

  • Adhere to LIMA Change Management procedures
