Cloud Manager
We are recruiting for a Cloud Operations Manager to join our team. Based in our Salford Quays office, the Cloud Manager will have overall accountability for ensuring LIMA’s Private Cloud services are delivered in accordance with the agreed cloud strategy. Managing the service lifecycle of all components which make up the cloud environment. This is a key role in driving the development and delivery, balancing commercial, financial and operational considerations to maximise the impact and value for LIMA customers.

Day to day the Cloud Manager will:
- Manage and report on platform capacity to support growth, availability and sales forecasting
- Identify platform risks and maintain relevant risk registers
- Manage end of life and technology supportability
- Provide input and direction into the platform roadmap and investment plans, working with our Product Manager and CTO to ensure it aligns with LIMA’s overall objectives
- Support our Operations and Finance teams in ensuring accurate and timely billing for customer consumption of the platform.
- Work with the Managed Services Team Leads, Cloud Technical Champions and Customer Success Manager to ensure effective delivery of ProActive support for our Cloud Platform
- Support customer escalations relating to platform performance, functionality and availability
- Deliver KPI reports which demonstrate effective operations of the platform
- Develop and maintain cloud service onboarding and offboarding plans
- Be responsible for managing the relationship with our data centre partner
- Work closely with our Professional Services function to ensure customer projects can be delivered within our delivery KPIs
- Ensure the platform operates within our security governance frameworks and support auditing activities with our Operations team
- Work with our Customer Success and Presales teams to understand changing customer requirements
- Ensure platform documentation is managed effectively, and is easy to understand and access.
- Drive overall Cloud delivery by maintaining a balance between customers’ expectations and delivery realities
- Maintain a Continuous service improvement plan of all components and services delivered through LIMA’s cloud environment
Our ideal Cloud Manager will be able to demonstrate:
- Operational experience with managing a private cloud environment
- A passion for driving efficiency through the use of automation technology and effective processes
- The ability to engage our platform stakeholders including customers, LIMA Directors, Managers, and engineers
- An effective communicator
- Able to balance the needs of customers with the needs of LIMA
- A strong awareness of Cloud Governance and security frameworks to ensure data, security, risk, cost, efficiency and consistent performance are all monitored, maintained and reported on
- An eye for detail and documentation
- Technical awareness of VMWare, Veeam, NetApp & Palo Alto
