LIMA’s Technical Support Engineer role demands an engineer with experience of supporting Microsoft Server and Desktop based operating systems.  Responsibilities will include; timely logging and responding to support events and incidents generated from our Client base. 

You will have a good technical ability and an ambition to progress and develop your career in IT support services in order to further progress within LIMA.  Experience working in a service or support environment, therefore you will know how to work to multiple SLAs and the importance of great customer service. 

About you

  • Knowledge of Microsoft based operating systems with emphasis on MS Server 2008 / 2012 and Windows 7 / 8 / 10

  • Knowledge of Active Directory (AD)

  • Networking Experience (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi)

  • Microsoft Exchange Server 2007, 2010, 2013

  • Appreciation of ITIL framework


  • Networking

  • Watchguard Firewalls

  • HP Networking

  • Cisco Firewalls / Switches (Nexus & Catalyst)

  • Virtualisation

  • VMWARE vSphere

  • Microsoft Hyper-V

  • NetApp Storage knowledge


  • MCTS - Windows Server 2012

  • ITIL Foundation

  • CompTIA Server + or Network +

About the role

  • Resolving incidents logged by our clients

  • Event management, resolution and escalation

  • Escalating incidents to other members of the technical team when required whilst maintaining a responsibility to resolution

  • Working with our Clients to provide the best service possible

  • Working closely with our Sales team to identify opportunities

  • Maintaining and supporting our internal infrastructure
