Our employees benefit from constant investment in learning and development. We are committed to developing enthusiastic achievers with the skills to excel in their role. LIMA develops and promotes the LIMA Academy, an internal Learning Centre with 20 vendors and their accredited courses within. The LIMA Academy forms part of an ongoing appraised, development tool for all staff. LIMA also proactively recruits via a Quality Assured Apprenticeship Scheme designed to secure and nurture local talent, the scheme allows apprenticeship across seven levels from GCSE standard (Level 1) to MSc degree (Level 7). LIMA is an Investors in People Gold employer. We are particularly proud of this award since less than 13% of IIP accredited businesses achieve the Gold award. Demonstrating our commitment to developing HR practices, LIMA has been awarded Level 1: Disability Confident Committed status by the Department of Work and Pensions, recognising LIMA’s inclusive and accessible practices when it comes to recruitment and the ongoing support provided for our employees.
