2nd Line Service Desk Engineer:  Infrastructure Team

About you

  • Minimum of 2-3 years proven experience supporting the following Infrastructure solutions:

    • HP/Cisco UCS servers

    • NetApp

    • VMware SRM/ Veeam

    • VMware/ Microsoft Hyper -V

    • HA virtualisation platforms across multiple datacentres

    • Storage replication and multisite storage deployments

    • SAN/ DAS/ NAS Management

  • Self-motivated with excellent time management skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels

  • Heavy 2nd/ 3rd line infrastructure support experience

About the role

  • Provide 2nd/3rd line support

  • Assist/mentor 1st line Service Desk Engineers

  • Technical escalation for service desk cases

  • Investigating problems and providing root cause analysis

  • Working to deadlines and multiple SLAs across a number of incidents

  • On call when needed


  • NetApp Certified Data Administrator – CDOT (NCDA-CDOT)

  • VMware Certified Professional - VCP-DCV

  • SQL Administration (Backup/ maintenance plans)

  • Network exposure - switching/ routing

  • Experience of working in an ITIL based technical environment

  • Experience of working for an MSP
