Microsoft announces new features to help users connect, collaborate and accomplish more

At the Ignite 2021 event, Microsoft announced a series of new innovative features designed to enable effortless internal and external collaboration. With the understanding that flexible working is here to stay, Microsoft hope to bring solutions that allow organisations to thrive in this new hybrid workspace. Their aim? To support collaboration in a work from anywhere world, through the introduction of new features, breaking down communication barriers and improving an organisation’s knowledge management.

In our latest industry news blog, we share just a few of the new features that will be available in Microsoft Teams...

Teams Connect

The release of Microsoft Teams Connect will allow inter-organisational Teams channels, creating a workspace designed for real-time collaboration capabilities. It means that while it’s easier than ever before to chat, meet, share content and co-author documents, organisations will still be able to maintain control over the level of data and information external contacts can access. These external Teams channels can then seamlessly integrate into the primary Teams view, alongside internal channels, further enhancing the efficiency of a work from anywhere world.

Teams mobile

Teams mobile is also getting an upgrade, with changes to the user interface, search suggestions and the ability to access stored files even when offline. Integration with mobile devices now means that Teams can automatically switch to the dark theme based on a user’s own settings and preferences. Global collaboration will also be easier on Android devices with the launch of inline message translation meaning that colleagues across the world can work together in a unified modern workspace.

Dynamics 365 aims to support all departments to enable a connected experience that allows teams to remain customer focused.
