Microsoft brings AI to content management

SharePoint Syntex is the first content management tool to be launched by Microsoft as part of Project Cortex. Through the integration of AI, machine learning is used to deliver insight into the apps businesses use every day. Having worked actively with customers and partners, Microsoft intends to cut through an organisation’s traditionally siloed communities of practice, elevating knowledge management through a process of automation.

The service aims to further enhance the modern workplace experience, automatically organising information into relevant topics, by identifying key details, recognising content types, and tagging it using metadata. Driven by Power Automate, this data builds workflows and ensures content processes become streamlined. With the application of topic mining logic and the understanding of how knowledge connects with people, through knowledge entities, the result is the creation of a knowledge network.

What’s more, the adoption of no-code AI models means that SharePoint Syntex enables you to define key information, improve search, integrate content both inside and outside Microsoft 365, and enforce security and compliance policies – all through automation.

The benefits of a modern workplace

The term modern workplace represents a shift in practices that enhance employee productivity by reducing the traditional technology and security limitations. Powered by Office and Windows, the modern desktop provides the best computing experience through the most productive tools, whilst protecting your data. With the right solution, you can simplify the process of keeping devices up to date while saving time, reducing costs and gaining control.

By bringing together access to countless applications, zero-touch device deployment and comprehensive security, Microsoft 365 provides your organisation with the tools to mobilise your workforce. The launch of SharePoint Syntex further enhances these capabilities.
