A Project Manager will be responsible for the successful delivery of various IT Infrastructure projects to LIMA customers ensuring that project scope, time, budget and quality expectations are defined and met.

The role requires proven experience managing IT Infrastructure and technology oriented projects according to PRINCE2 project management methodology.

The role forms part of the technical solutions team which strives to maintain start to finish excellence and integrity of the solutions.


About you

  • Broadly skilled in information and communications technology

  • Proven and demonstrable experience of managing external, service transition or Infrastructure transformation projects

  • Working Knowledge and familiarity with ITIL Service Management.

  • Proven and demonstrable experience of project delivery in a managed service environment or similar commercial environment

  • Strong knowledge of change management, risk management, setting up and initiating projects

  • Proven experience producing quality project management documentation including, PID, highlight reports, resource planning, risk logs, change logs, issue logs and highlight reports

  • Excellent understanding of standards within IT and Technology

  • Technical background within IT infrastructure so a good understanding of technologies

  • Ability to work under pressure and without supervision

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Excellent organisational skills

  • Good team player and team leader

  • Excellent stakeholder management and the ability to manage budgets

About the role

  • Managing projects in accordance PRINCE2 project management methodology

  • Set and gain agreement of Goals and Objectives for the project ensuring project deliverables, success criteria risks and assumptions are clearly defined

  • Creation and management of project documentation including PID, quality, change management, Scope of works, RAID log and Highlight reports

  • Ensuring all work is properly scoped, planned, costed and risks/issues identified and resolved or mitigated in advance

  • Produce and maintain a risk and issue register with respect to delivery of the overall schedule, identifying and tracking associated actions

  • Manage internal and 3rd party resources and resource scheduling on and off site so as to maximise their contribution, including external sub-contractors

  • Manages the change control procedure and ensures that project deliverables are completed within planned cost, timescale and resource budgets, and are signed off. Gains agreement for revisions to the project(s) from project sponsors

  • Ensure Project Gateway Reviews and key Project milestones are identified, planned and held effectively and in accordance with quality process to assure Project delivery

  • Chair project Checkpoint/Progress Meetings, produce subsequent minutes and progress actions

  • Support and contribution to Process Improvements and ensure all activities are performed in accordance with the relevant company processes and agreed project quality standards

  • Produce accurate, reliable and timely weekly and monthly reports for each project

  • Produce regular Project Progress Reports covering key work completed and upcoming, critical risks and issues

  • Produce a closeout report for each project completed, in particular identifying lessons learned

  • Act as a single point of contact for the project internally and externally

  • Maintain strong relationships to manage complex external stakeholder structures, be they Customers, End Users, Partners, Suppliers or 3rd Parties

  • Manage project resourcing and resource scheduling

  • Seeks out and tackles issues that will prevent the delivery of business benefits, facilitating open communication and discussion between stakeholders
